Would have been interesting to cieosdnr whether those groups voting less (or not voting at all) in NL are the same groups as those voting less in other provinces. From what I understand, older votes tend to vote much more often than younger voters. Given that NL's population is older than other provinces, we would expect a higher turn out yet we see just the opposite, making NL's low turn out even more surprising. Many thanks to The Independent for seriously raising the bar on news reporting in the Province you were very missed!
